Do you love designing and drawing fun new characters? Are you interested in winning two free badges to either AnimeWorld Minneapolis or AnimeWorld Indianapolis? If you answered yes to both of those questions you may be really interested in this blog post!

AnimeWorld Expos wants our conventions to be all about the fans. We love attendee input and we strive to take every bit of your advice to heart. This extends from panels and events to decisions about our mascots! Since AnimeWorld Minneapolis and Indianapolis are our new cons for next year, we figured we would open up the mascot design contest to all our attendees!

THE RULES: Design a mascot that you think is professional-looking, memorable and appropriate for AnimeWorld Chicago. Entries should be submitted in JPEG or PNG format. Minimum image size is 600px (either dimension); maximum 1280px (either dimension). Mascots should be submitted on a white or transparent background. Email your designs as an attachment to Kasemei@animeworldexpos.com, and include your full name and forum username with your entry. Maximum TWO entries per individual. Entries for AnimeWorld Indianapolis need to be submitted by 11:59PM CST on May 1st, 2012. Entries for AnimeWorld Minneapolis need to be submitted by 11:59PM CST on July 1st, 2012. At that time, submissions will close and AWC department staff will vote on their two favorite designs. We’ll then put the vote to Facebook and whichever mascot design gets the most votes will win!

THE PRIZE: Oh, yes, there’s a prize. What’s a contest without one? The award for designing the official AWC mascot is two FREE BADGES for whichever convention your mascot was designed for! Yup, you read it right! You will be provided with a badge for yourself and one lucky friend!

THE FINE PRINT: Staff members and employees of AnimeWorld Expos are not eligible to enter (non-staff volunteers are permitted to participate). All submissions become the property of AnimeWorld Expos, which reserves the right to use submitted images for promotional purposes.
