PRESS ELIGIBILITY

• Recognized media outlets (print, broadcast, online) qualify for 2 passes per outlet unless cleared with Marketing Division.
• Must be a recognized media, print, broadcast, online media outlet
• Must be in good standing with AnimeWorld Expos
• Must submit a copy of all articles/publications to AnimeWorld Press department for archival purposes (insufficient coverage compared to the amount of badges given may cause the number of passes for your press group to be reduced next year).

 

ITEMS NEEDED FOR PRESS APPLICATION

• Print Media must provide samples of your previous publications as well as a letter of intent on a letterhead
• Broadcast Media must provide a letter of intent on a letterhead
• Web-based press must provide a live link to their website and include statistics
• All media outlets must include a business card if you are from a source other than high school/university publications
• Highschool/University publications must provide a letter of intent on a school letterhead from your supervisor

 

FILMING/PHOTOGRAPHY POLICIES

• Panel photography, and video footage permission must be obtained by the individual running the panel or event.
• No photographs, video footage, or interviews can be scheduled with celebrity guests and spokespersons without the prior approval of AnimeWorld Expos.

PRESS CONFIRMATION / BADGE PICK UP

• Badge pick up with be at the convention.
• Applying for an application does not guarantee press badges
• Previously attending AnimeWorld Expo conventions does not guarantee a badge

 

INTERVIEWS

• Interviews are on a limited basis and may be cancelled at any time. Any interviews must be pre-arranged through AnimeWorld Expos marketing department.
• Interview times are determined by the Marketing Department
• No photographs, video footage, or interviews can be scheduled with celebrity guests and spokespersons without the prior approval of AnimeWorld Expos.

 

PRESS POLICIES

• AnimeWorld Expos reserves the right to deny an outlet a press badge due to insufficient coverage or insufficient media credentials or past misconduct
• Press badges are only reserved for media personnel (writers, editors, camera crews)
• AnimeWorld reserves the right to modify the press policies and revoke badges at any time.
